iPhone 4 Arrives In White!

Apple launched the iPhone yesterday, this time in white. About 9 months too late.

If you’re interested in buying one, I’d recommend holding off, the iPhone 5 is due in the Autumn and will have the usual upgrades but the same price.

I’m currently undecided whether to make the jump to Apple having used an Android device for the last year. I upgraded to the Desire HD a few months ago, and while great at the start it’s chunky size is starting to get on my nerves. The iPhone’s slender frame does appeal! It would also go great with my iPad :) . A pic of the iPhone 4 in white if you haven’t seen it already:

Had all my music for my iTunes collection stored on my trusted Iomega external hard drive. Now, its not being recognised by by computer, so I now have the task of somehow getting all my music from my iPod back onto my computer.

Get All Your Missing iTunes Album Arts With TuneUp Media

Get All Your Missing iTunes Album Arts With TuneUp Media

Nope, not a salesman for this crowd, just found this bit of simple software excellent.

We all know how annoying it is when some of your favourite albums on your iPod have album arts in all their glory, but most simply don’t.

TuneUp Media solves this. Their free trial gives you 50 free cover arts, but if like me you have a whopping collection ( 500+ albums) then you’ll find the paltry $29.95 (just under €25) worth every cent.

Simple install, open iTunes and you’ll see the new TuneUp tab on the right. It can also scan through missing song names like the dreaded “Track 01, Track 02″ songs and provide a fix. Very handy! It’s very straightforward to use.

You can find out more about TuneUp Media from their website – www.tuneupmedia.com

Below is a screen grab. If you’ve got an iPhone, iPod Touch or Classic, then get downloading.

Ardmore Rangers Face Toughest Test To Date

Wednesday night’s usual footballing outing for Ardmore Rangers is looming. Not our usual Astro.ie game though. Probably our toughest test to date.

In our short history we’ve won the Astro.ie League four times in a row, and throw in a FORAS Cup in between which featured approximately 30 teams from Cork, and had us playing around eight 30 minute games in a day. But tomorrow is pretty much the be all and end all. A win tomorrow puts us back on top of the league, but a loss pretty much finishes it for this season.

Gliebenhaag FC have come from nowhere, demolishing all in their path. We haven’t faced them before, but from looking at the results they look a pretty decent side.

Add into that our own inconsistency so far this season, and it makes beating them a monster task. I’m going to borrow a quote from Ruairi O’Hagan from last season. (Which no doubt, he borrowed from somewhere else).

“This is the week where dreams become reality. where legends become gods. where the impossible is possible. when you have nothing left to believe in, believe in one team. One ideal. A shining light amidst the darkness.A beacon of hope in these troubled times. Believe that miracles do happen. Believe that we shall stand …our ground and fight. There will be no surrender. WE ARE ARDMORE RANGERS. AND THIS IS OUR TIME. ARTID”

We CAN do it. We WILL do it.

ARTID.

Apple Launch New iPhone, Looks The Part

Steve Jobs unveiled the new iPhone last night. It looks amazing from the videos and photos I’ve seen.

I’m currently using a HTC Desire, and after watching the video I can’t help but seem a bit envious of Apple’s new device. They’re marketing plan has worked on me anyway. It’s due to hit stores in the UK on June 24th.

It’s thinner than the 3GS, has a new glass casing, better 5mp Camera with LED Flash (at last), faster processor, and a new video calling mode (WiFi only). Available in black and white.

A link to a video on Apple’s website.
